Bio: Iman Al-Khateb (@Iman shaif) is a human rights activist. She held many leadership positions as she was the Deputy of the Independent Groups in the National Dialogue Conference. She also worked as a Judge between the period 1983-1990. She was the head of the law department in the parliament, with the rank of Deputy Minister and Advisor to the Labor Force and Social Affairs committee in the parliament.  Al-Khateb played a vital role in amending many discriminatory laws against women in partnership with the National Committee for Women and the parliament, like pensions and civil service laws. 

Al-Khatab is currently the Chair of the Parliament Circle Unit, Chair of Friendship Committee, and the Legal Officer for Fawz Network, which supports independent women. In addition, she is the Deputy Manager of Women and Youth for the Developmental Organization Najm. 

Iman has a BA in Law from Aden University. She is a member of the law group in the Arabian Women Organization and a founding member of the Feminist Harmony for Peace. She is also a member of the Logistics Support Team for the political dialogue of the Political Development Forum. She participated in many conferences, including the Third Arab Women Conference, The Peace Makers Conference, and the Women’s Committee meeting at the League of Arab States.
