Suha Jaffer Jaffer Zain Alsaqqaf is a Yemeni expert in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), with more than five years of professional experience supporting humanitarian and development programmes in Yemen. Her expertise includes the design and development of monitoring and evaluation systems, data analysis, reporting, capacity building, and organizational development, alongside experience in Women, Peace and Security (WPS), peacebuilding, governance, youth empowerment, and Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE).

She currently serves as a MEAL Officer at SOS Foundation for Development, where she leads the design and implementation of MEAL systems and frameworks, performance indicators, and reporting mechanisms for humanitarian and development projects. Her work includes conducting assessments and baseline and endline studies, ensuring data quality, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, developing logical and results frameworks and performance indicators, and contributing to project proposals and concept notes. She also produces donor reports and learning products and documents lessons learned and good practices.

Suha also serves as the Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Focal Point at SOS Foundation for Development. In this role, she contributes to organizational awareness and staff capacity building, supports the implementation of safeguarding and accountability mechanisms, advises on risk mitigation and prevention strategies, and promotes the integration of PSEA standards into organizational policies and procedures. She has also contributed to the development of organizational policies, including PSEA, Safeguarding, Gender Policy, and the Code of Conduct.

She is a member of Yemen’s National Action Plan Team for Preventing Violent Extremism, contributing to the development and implementation of the National Action Plan and participating in technical consultations involving government institutions, civil society organizations, and development partners. Her contributions focus on youth engagement, women’s participation, social cohesion, and community resilience, as well as policy recommendations and action-planning processes that support sustainable peace and conflict prevention.

Suha also has experience providing technical support in monitoring, evaluation, and learning. She previously served as a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor for TEDx SealineRd, where she contributed to the development of monitoring tools, participant feedback mechanisms, and performance indicators, as well as data analysis and evidence-based recommendations. She has progressed professionally within SOS Foundation for Development, having previously served as a MEAL Assistant and, earlier, as an Administrative Assistant supporting project implementation and organizational operations.

She has received specialized training from The Hague Academy for Local Governance on strengthening the leadership role of civil society in Yemen’s peace process, in addition to professional training in MEAL and budget development.

Suha holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Translation from the Faculty of Languages and Translation at the University of Aden, graduating with Very Good (Honors).
