Women Solidarity is following with great concern the issue of kidnapping and enforced disappearance of Ansam Abdel-Samad.Ansam is a Southern political activist and works in the security sector.Ansam was kidnapped in the evening of September 15, 2017 in Aden by parties who are alleged to belong to the security system. She has been detained for 7 months and her family could not find out where she was today.Women's solidarity denounces this violation (which affects human rights and targets women working inthe public sphere, such as security jobs and political activists) (female member of the women's security forces). We call on the security services in Aden to:-The speed of disclosure of the fate and place of detention and that the legal procedures are respected in the case.-Accountability and accountability of those responsible for hiding her forcibly.-Defining the type of charge against her (and enabling her legal right) to appoint a lawyer to take her case and not obstruct or delay the course of justice.-(Enabling her / her) to communicate with her family and lawyers.-Enable international organizations such as the Red Cross to visit her.-referring her case to the court immediately.
