The Women Solidarity Network expresses its deep concern about the consequences of the abduction of a minor in Sana'a, which indicates the failure to protect women and girls in the deteriorating security situationWe condemn the abduction of 17-year-old Randa Abdelkader in Sana'a on June 8, 2018, at 9:00 pm near her home in the Al-Giraf area.According to preliminary information indicating that the kidnapping was carried out by armed militias who pulled her into a car and fled. While Randa is still kidnapped, campaigns to mislead public opinion continue, by fabricating stories about her return or escaping from her home ... etc., which is not true, and her family and friends still hope for her safe return. Therefore, we hold the movement of Ansar Allah (the Houthis) as de facto authority full responsibility for her safety, and request them therefore to:-The immediate investigation, tracing and release of the abductee, ensuring her safe return, arresting the kidnappers and referring them to the judiciary and ensuring that they are not exempt from punishment.-Ensure the safety of her family and friends from any harassment or threats.
